It is constantly written that he was barely educated and couldn't read. He also managed to hit at his consistent average during the 1919 world series. If he were trying to help throw the series he would have "thrown" his hitting. <br /><br />I agree that Pete Rose needs to be considered on his playing years and not his managing years. Several people have made it into the hall as managers and not players since they were not very good players. Why not the opposite?
